Leading Cadet Charlotte White, Sea Cadet Corps, TS Pathfinder (Bridlington), has been chosen as one of the people that will support him at his many ceremonial duties throughout the forthcoming year.

Duties can range from Royal Visits to services such as Remembrance Day.

To receive this honour, cadets must be of the highest standard with excellent bearing, good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with others.

Recipients should hold the rank of at least Able Cadet or Cadet Sergeant and should have been a cadet for at least two years.

The Lord-Lieutenant’s Award recognises cadets, cadet adult volunteers, reservists and military civilian support staff for their extraordinary efforts and supplements honours bestowed by His Majesty The King in the New Year and Birthday Honours Lists.

Leading Cadet Charlotte White said: “It is such an honour to be appointed this role, and I am excited for the experiences I can get out of it.”

The Lord-Lieutenant said: “It was a great pleasure to present the 2026 Lord-Lieutenant Awards for the East Riding of Yorkshire to such an outstanding group of recipients from our Cadet Forces.

“Alongside them, we celebrated the outstanding achievements of cadets across the county, who now join the ranks of Lord-Lieutenant's Cadets in recognition of their dedication. I look forward to their support at events and ceremonies in the coming year.”
