The full roofing system included a full replacement of 321 roof coverings, on council owned properties including the addition of integrated solar PV panels. Roofs were upgraded in various locations across the East Riding, including Bridlington, Fridaythorpe and Pocklington.

By sourcing all components from a single manufacturer, the project ensured full compatibility, reduced installation risk, and supported long-term durability, backed by a 15-year performance guarantee.

The project is delivered annually and was delivered on time and on budget, delivering tangible benefits to residents. Tenants can now access renewable energy directly from their rooftops, helping to lower household energy bills and support the Council’s commitment to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.

Councillor Michael Lee, East Riding of Yorkshire Council cabinet member for housing and infrastructure said: “This is a great accomplishment, recognising our hard work in upgrading our social housing stock. We’re proud to support residents, reducing both costs and carbon emissions.”
