115 scarecrows were displayed by the talented residents of East and West Ayton.
All funds raised from the trail will be used for future village events.
For added interest this year, the local schoolchildren wrote Harry Potter envelopes to provide an anagram trail to follow while walking around the scarecrow trail.
This proved popular with both children and adults.
The Ayton history weekend at the beginning of the trail week was also hailed as a fantastic community event with contributions from Ayton Bridge library and other residents, sharing their war memorial research, family tree research and local archive photos.
Cath Cussons, one of the organisers, said: “This free event brought the whole community together and was enjoyed by a range of age groups, all keen to see how East and West Ayton had changed over the years.
"Many thanks to Ayton Art club for the loan of their display stands.
“Our thanks also go to Betton Farm for printing the maps and the Spar shop for selling them for us.”
