Scarborough creative Graham Rhodes has released an autobiography, titled People & Places – A Life Lived, detailing his varied career spanning more than 50 years across multiple industries.
Starting as an art student in the 1970s, Mr Rhodes built a career as a graphic designer in London, where his client list included bands such as The Police and The Cramps.
He later worked as an audio-visual designer for product launches and museums before a career mistake led him into scriptwriting and video directing.
Over the years, his directing work included projects for luxury cruise ships, a Viking invasion re-enactment, and working with cast members from the television series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
Beyond commercial media, Mr Rhodes co-founded The Roofie Foundation, Britain’s first helpline dedicated to addressing drink spiking and drug rape.
He has also maintained a five-decade career as a performance poet.
His autobiography reflects on these experiences and the people he encountered along the way.
