Professionals from a wide range of different industries were on hand to speak to pupils from every year group, give advice and answer questions at the school’s careers fair. They included teams from the fields of health care, construction, law, banking, teaching, finance, leisure, the emergency services and military. There were also representatives from the area’s colleges and other training providers to explain students’ options when it comes to further education, training and apprenticeships. And there were exhibitors from a number of universities including Leeds, Newcastle, Hull and Lincoln. The school thanked all the businesses, colleges and universities who attended the careers fair and said the event busy all day with students finding out more about the jobs they were interested in.
