Rock Kidz UK rocks Northstead with anti-bullying message

Northstead Community Primary School was alive with the sound of rock music this week as Rock Kidz UK brought their unique anti-bullying workshops to Scarborough.
The high-energy event combined live music, motivational messages, and interactive fun to teach pupils the importance of kindness and respect.
The sessions formed part of the school's approach to anti-bullying and featured original rock anthems with powerful lyrics about standing up for others and celebrating differences. Pupils were encouraged to join in, dress like rock stars, and even take part in dance battles.
Children left buzzing with excitement and inspired by the message.
A Year 4 pupil said: “It was amazing! I learned that kindness makes the world go round. And the music was so cool!”
Year 5 pupil added: “I loved the songs. They made me feel confident and reminded me that bullying is never okay. We should always include everyone and always be kind!”
Headteacher Shaun Hopper praised the event for its impact.
He said: “This is the third year we have invited Rock Kidz to Northstead. An amazing opportunity for our children to dance, have fun and learn important messages about their responsibilities. The energy was incredible from children and staff!“
Rock Kidz UK tours schools across the UK, using the power of rock music to deliver workshops on anti-bullying, wellbeing, and aspirations. Their mission is simple: to inspire young people to believe in themselves and treat others with kindness.
