Central Healthcare on track to vaccinate all residents and staff at Scarborough care homes by end of January

All residents and staff at care homes for older adults in Scarborough will be vaccinated by the end of this month, says the town's Central Healthcare.

It has been working with other GP practices within its Primary Care Network to offer Covid vaccinations to care home residents and staff in Scarborough.

Spokesperson Yvonne Reay said: "This weekend, we also took delivery of the first batch of the new Astra Zeneca/Oxford vaccine and our healthcare team vaccinated the first people with this on Sunday at Scarborough Hall care home.

"We have now vaccinated all residents and staff in five Scarborough care homes for older adults, which is great news.

"As more vaccines become available, we will continue to ramp up and support the vaccination programme in our local area.

"We are on target to vaccinate all residents and staff at care homes for older adults in Scarborough by the end of this month.

"We would like to thank all the staff from the local care homes who have worked with us as a team to make sure each vaccination clinic goes smoothly for all those involved.

"They have all been such a great support."
