Thank you: Jayden Dunwell, Callum Dunwell, Adam North, 50 and Benjamin Dunwell put the video together to thank their mum and other NHS workers.

Callum Dunwell, his dad Adam North, 15-year-old brother Jayden Dunwell and 10-year-old brother Ben Dunwell enlisted the help of family, friends and even two celebrity performers for their rendition of The Beatles’ ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’.

“Me and my dad are both self-employed musicians so we haven’t got any work at the moment,” said Callum, 22, from Scarborough.

“Mum is going out to work, doing 12-hour shifts on the intensive care unit, and we can see how drained she is when she gets home.

Musicians: Daisy Winter-Taylor and Tyler Smith also performed and helped put the project together.

“We wanted to do something to thank her and all the key workers.”

Adam regularly performs at Scarborough’s hotels and Callum has performed with his best friend Tyler Smith at venues around the area.

Together with Tyler and his girlfriend Daisy Winter-Taylor, the family cooked up a plan to invite all of their friends and relatives to send them recordings of themselves dancing to the song and holding up hand-made posters thanking the NHS.

Callum, Jayden, Adam, Tyler and Daisy recorded the music and vocals, and Callum and Tyler edited it all together.

The project involved 15 hours of recording followed by 25 hours of editing each for Tyler and Callum.

“We wanted to do something that we could be proud of so we wanted to make it as perfect as we could,” said Callum.

“Mum is mentally drained and very tired but they’re all working as hard as they possibly can.

“We sat her down to watch it after one of her shifts one day. When it finished, she burst into tears.”

The video was uploaded to YouTube last week and has already been viewed over 3,000 times.

As well as extended family and friends, the montage includes contributions from comedians and entertainers Jimmy Cricket, who Adam knows, and Billy Pearce, who Callum used to work with at Scarborough Spa.
