People from Tiers 3 and 4 can also be fined for meeting people indoors. Pubs and restaurants are shut in Tiers 3 and 4.

The Belle Vue posted on social media: "Last night we had a routine police check where everyone's address was checked and who they were sitting with. It resulted in one gentleman receiving a fixed £200 penalty.

"Do not come in if you are in Tier 3 or 4.

"Do not sit with someone who is not registered at the same address as you.

"The police ARE doing checks and you WILL get fined."
