The mobile testing unit is a drive-though operation run by the military.

Tests are available for eligible key workers and those classed as a priority but people must register online at https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk.

Those running the service have warned that high demand for testing site appointments means that not everyone will always be able to get an appointment for every referral.

Last week the Government announced that as well as key workers with symptoms, it would be making tests available to anyone over 65 with symptoms, anyone with symptoms whose work cannot be done from home, and anyone who has symptoms of coronavirus and lives with any of those identified above.

The mobile testing unit has been in Scarborough for the last three days checking people for coronavirus.
