Residents at Thornton-Le-Dale care home receive first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

All residents at The Hall care home in Thornton-Le-Dale have received the first dose of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.

The jabs were administered to the care home’s residents one week after staff received their first dose of the vaccine.

Chris Mitchell, chairman of Park Lane Healthcare which operates The Hall care home in Thornton-Le-Dale, said: “The residents at The Hall have received the best possible gift.

“The vaccine gives us real hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and we can look forward to brighter times ahead in 2021.”

On receiving the vaccine, 94-year old resident Joyce Allen, said: “I feel very happy to have had my vaccine; it has been so well organised.”
