Scarborough borough's coronavirus infection rate fall continues

The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people is down to 46, a drop of one from yesterday and three from Monday.

Last week, the borough’s rate was 64.

Scarborough is still averaging seven new cases every day.

The average infection rate for England stands at 86 while North Yorkshire as a whole has now dropped to 58, as both are still recording daily reductions.

Infection rates in both Craven and Ryedale have now dropped into the 30s.

Mobile testing facilities are available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this weekend for anyone with symptoms to get tested.

William Street Coach Park in Scarborough is still offering testing seven days a week from 8am until 8pm.
