Scarborough borough's coronavirus infection rate remains unchanged

Scarborough’s coronavirus infection rate has remained at 100 for the second day running.

The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people had fallen to 98 on Friday but went up to 100 yesterday.

Scarborough has recorded 109 cases over the last seven days, an average of 16 a day. At one point in November the borough averaged 90 cases a day.

The average infection rate for England stands at 201 while in North Yorkshire it is now 127, both down on yesterday.

Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week for anyone with symptoms to get tested.

William Street Coach Park in Scarborough is still offering testing seven days a week from 8am until 8pm.
