Duncan Raynor, Chris Vasey, Adam North, Darren North, Sean McGuinness and Greg Husler all agreed to shave their heads if they raised £1,500.

Adam, whose wife and mum are both NHS workers, and Darren came up with the idea and the group managed to raise the money in less than a week.

They have now surpassed their target by over £500 and will donate the total they raise directly to the hospital so they can buy directly the PPE they need.

Kingspan has also agreed to donate an amount to the final total.

Duncan said: “You know, we’re all in this together, and we wanted to do something at a personal level to show support for our amazing NHS workers and everything they are doing.

"We’re proud as well to be working for a company that is also doing its bit.

"Some people might wonder why the factory is still running, but the materials that we make here are going to help build isolation units and ICUs, facilities for testing vaccines, and places to store food safely.

"We may not be on the front line, but we’re doing what we can to help, and we’d just like to say a massive thank you to everybody who has contributed and helped us to smash our target.”
