Everyone Active, which manages the centre in partnership with Scarborough Borough Council, welcomed back the community on Monday, April 12, allowing residents to return to activity and to boost their physical and mental health.

Safety has been Everyone Active’s priority throughout the pandemic and a host of strict operational measures are in place, including rigorous cleaning regimes, timed activity sessions and a one-way system to help with social distancing.

The measures have impressed customers, with attendances in the week after reopening higher than in the week following the first lockdown.
