Yorkshire Wolds Railway’s model show pulls into Driffield Showground
Members of the Yorkshire Wolds Railway (YWR), based at Fimber Halt, are gearing up for their annual model railway show that pull into Driffield on Saturday, March 14.
Returning for its ninth year, the event will be held at the Rix Pavilion on Driffield Showground between 10am and 4pm.

This year’s show will feature 16 great model railways, including many new ones.
The event will also have a number of trade stands, while light refreshments will be available.
The model show continues to be the main fundraising event for the YWR, and the team is looking forward to seeing as many visitors as possible as all the money raised goes back into keeping the YWR on track.
Entrance to the show costs £10 for adults, while children under 16 and YWR members can get in for free.
Phil Robson, finance director at YWR, said: “The first public running day for the YWR of 2026 will be Sunday, April 5 and from then when the site will be open and running trains every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of October.
"Additionally, many special event days have been added to the calendar including opening the site fully every Wednesday during school holidays. All trains run subject to availability and we can’t wait to welcome people back to Fimber Halt!”
The YWR is always keen to involve new people, and anyone interested in becoming a member or volunteering, making a donation or just finding out more can visit the Yorkshire Wolds Railway website or call 01377 338053 for more information.
