As we head into December with Christmas nights out, Black Eye Friday and Boxing Day round the corner, we take a trip back to December 2008.

Alexandra Burke was the Official Christmas number 1 with her cover of Hallelujah, Vince Vaughan and Reese Witherspoon starred in Four Christmases and Gavin and Stacey aired their first Christmas special. Take a trip back in time with these photos from our Big Night Out archive. Do you recognise anyone?
