As of Wednesday May 12 there is no longer a limit to the amount of exercise or 'open-air recreation', such as sunbathing, you can do in England. You can also meet one person from another household outdoors whilst following the 2m social distancing advice. Here are ten walks around Scarborough suitable for a longer stroll of a family outing. Why not choose one of them to do this weekend, making sure to follow social distancing rules when you're out and about.
5. Peasholm Park
Completely accessible and suitable for all ages, the Japanese-inspired Peasholm Park is a Scarborough staple and good for families. Take a tour of the lake or if you fancy a bit longer carry on up through the Glen and take part in the tree trail.
6. Raincliffe Woods
A woodland paradise to explore here with lots of wildlife to spot and trees to identify. Head up into the woods if you're feeling adventurous or stay on the low ground near Throxenby mere and spot the birds.
7. Marine Drive
A classic walk for Scarborough folk and accessible to all. Stick to North side or extend round the headland and carry on to the Spa.
8. Falsgrave Park
A family favourite with lots of open space to explore, not too far to travel to from the town centre.
