Dining area re-opens at Scarborough town centre McDonald's

Scarborough McDonald’s has re-opened to diners, allowing them to once again eat-in at the town centre establishment.

The Huntriss Row restaurant closed on March 23 and reopened at 11.00 July 22 with new covid-19 safe practices.

The popular restaurant now has a reduced seating capacity to enable social distancing to be maintained.

Richard Marcroft, local McDonald’s franchisee, said: “We are really pleased to be open again and I’m looking forward to welcoming customers back into our restaurant.

Diners are being asked to order via the My McDonald’s app or self-order kiosks and food will then be brought to the table.

Each table will have a QR code and URL enabling people to register with the Government’s contact tracing programme.

The Eastfield restaurant will remain drive-thru only for the time being while they await a delivery of protective screens.
