Here is some good news for the people of Scarborough - Florios is reopening.

The Italian restaurant on Aberdeen Walk, which first opened its doors in 1986, has been the setting for many family celebrations, friendly get-togethers and boozy nights out.

Whilst it will be a while longer before we can descend the stairs again and sit round a table in the restaurant with our loved ones, the food so many love, is shortly to be back on offer again.

After the coronavirus pandemic began, Florios switched to takeaways only before closing completely on March 23.

Just over a month later, the restaurant will be reopening again as a takeaway.

Antonio Floris, the restaurant's owner, said: "The safety of our customers and staff it’s very important to us, so we are going to take some extra caution measures and all the informations will be provided later in the week!"

The reopening date is still being finalised but is expected to be later this week - we will report more when we get confirmation.
