A two-bedroom house close to the town centre is going under the hammer – for a guide price of just £10,000.

The property, at 49A Victoria Street, close to the Prince of Wales pub, is described by auction house Bond Wolfe Auctions as "in need of modernisation”.

It says: “This is a vacant, freehold, mid-terraced property, standing flush to the pavement.”

Downstairs are a reception room and kitchen, while upstairs are a landing, bathroom and the two bedrooms. There is also a rear yard.

The property is one of more than 200 lots going under the hammer at a remote bidding auction on Wednesday, February 17, at 8.30am.

A Bond Wolfe spokesman said: “Please note, the auction will be livestreamed via our website, with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.

“You must pre-register to bid no later than 24 hours prior to the auction.”
