IN PICTURES: The Sitwell Trail - A guided walk which shows Scarborough at its best

The Sitwell Trail is a 1.4-mile route with a small incline (140ft). Discover the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Woodland Creative, Scarborough Art Gallery and Crescent Arts, Rotunda Museum, Bland's Cliff, Maritime Heritage Centre and St. Mary's Church.

There are huge benefits to outdoor activities, such as stretching your legs, spending time with family and friends and exploring what the local area has to offer. However, sometimes it can be hard to find accessible trails with interesting sights along the way - and this is where North Yorkshire County Council' s Discoveries on your Doorstep comes in.

The website and Facebook page provide information about existing and future trails, events and activities.
