The sausage dog is giving away free G&Ts in an effort to lift the mood of the nation and encourage Britons to shop small this winter.

The diminutive dachshund who, despite the pandemic, is launching her online business at the beginning of December is ready to send 100 Save Our Spirits packages to lockdown-weary adults who find themselves in a beverage bind on November 20.

“Like many dogs during the pandemic, Delilah has been the perfect companion,” said Ali Redwood, 29, owner of the eight-inch high entrepreneur and fellow co-founder of Delilah’s Gin.

“Small businesses are the heartbeat of the UK economy. And with more uncertain times ahead, supporters of fledgling British firms could be the linchpin in keeping them afloat.

“Delilah’s mastery is in making people smile. We thought what better time to encapsulate her smooth and unique spirit within an artisanal small-batch gin and share it during these challenging times.”

Ready to #dashtotherescue, the smooth haired heroine is giving away the SOS packages on a first come, first served basis from 5pm at on Friday to the first 100 who subscribe on the homepage.

Once you’ve got to the website, you have to register your details.

This involves signing up with your name, age – to check you’re over 18 – and email address.
