The town was ranked fifth in the country behind Brighton, Blackpool, Cornwall, and Bournemouth in the findings by Travelodge.

Bridlington is a firm favourite with holidaymakers and is prepared for a very busy bank holiday season, which is great news for the local economy.
Holidaymakers are also yearning to be one with nature and want to explore the British countryside.
Top rural retreat destinations include the Cotswolds, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and the Scottish Highlands.
