Air ambulance called after 9-year-old boy falls off rock in Dalby Forest

An air ambulance was called to Dalby Forest this morning after a child fell 12ft from a rock.

An air ambulance was called to Dalby Forest this morning after a child fell 12ft from a rock.

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue were called to carry the nine-year-old boy to the helicopter at 11.18am.

They said the child had fallen "some 12ft off a rock feature at Bridestones".

The team added: "We had 20 team members and three team vehicles either on scene or travelling to the scene in anticipation of a potential protracted carry out. The duration of the callout was two hours."
