An air ambulance was called after a house fire in Ryedale yesterday.

Firefighters from Pickering, Malton and Helmsley administered first aid to one person who they brought out of the house in Great Edstone near Kirbymoorside.
They were called at 7.52am and said a fire appeared to have happened overnight.
They believe embers from an aga had spread to items which had then burned through the night, causing soot to gather in the room
They gave first aid until an ambulance and air ambulance arrived.
