Air ambulance lands at Scarborough's North Bay: Police appeal after pedestrian airlifted

An air ambulance was called to Scarborough on Saturday to help a woman hit by a car.

Details have been released of the accident, which happened on Burniston Road outside the Open Air Theatre at 3.10pm.

A female pedestrian was hurt after being in collision with a silver Kia Ceed.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance took her to hospital.

As reported by the Scarborough News, the helicopter landed at Scarborough's North Bay, outside the Sands apartments.

Police are asking anyone who saw what happened or who has any information that might help with their investigation to get in touch.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the incident.
