Ap-paws after 400th customer uses salon

Oscar, a 10 year old Yorkshire terrier, was crowned guest of honour at Pets at Home Scarborough after being the 400th dog in town to be treated by the Groom Room team based at the Seamer Road store.

Oscar, whose owner is Hazel Kynaston, was treated to a bath, brush, haircut and nail clip in the salon.

Mick O’Neill, store manager, said: “What a fantastic achievement.

“We’re proud of the level of expertise our groomers provide and we’re delighted that the team has received such a warm welcome from the pet-owning community; to have already groomed 400 dogs is a great start.

Lola Brannigan, salon manager, said: “We were delighted to give Oscar the 400th groom at our store and he left the store looking great. I would like to thank everyone who has supported the Groom Room so far, and the team is looking forward to meeting and treating many more local pets.”
