BREAKING: Man named after body found in Peasholm Lake
A man who was found dead in Peasholm Lake last week has been named as 34-year-old Gavin Francis Egan, of Scarborough.
An inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday at 4pm.
Police were called to Peasholm Park on the morning of Wednesday February 24, after a passer-by spotted the body near the bandstand.
Ambulance crews were called to recover the man.
Police have ruled out foul play, with a spokesperson stating: “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident, and investigations remain ongoing.”
