Bridlington RNLI called after fishing crew member suffers head injury

Lifeboat rescuers helped a fishing crew member who collapsed and suffered a head injury this morning.

The Bridlington RNLI volunteers were alerted at 7.21am to help the casualty on board a fishing vessel about 40 miles off the coast.

The injured crew member was taken to shore using the all-weather lifeboat and then to a waiting ambulance.

If you see someone in distress along the coast, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
