Broken window causes Scarborough road to be closed
A Scarborough road is currently closed with police and firefighters in attendance.
The top of Victoria Road has been closed off to traffic at the junction with Falsgrave Road with emergency services clearing up a broken window.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service was called out by the police to the scene with concerns of the glass on the road and for further glass to fall from the first floor window.
Firefighters are using the aerial ladder platform in order to take the glass from the frame of the window and help clean the road.
Traffic is flowing as normal on Falsgrave Road.
Drivers are urged to avoid the road at the moment while the emergency services are on the scene.
