Car crashes into house in Scarborough

The crash happened on Derwent Street, which is behind Grange Avenue, at 3.07pm. No one was injured.

Firefighters from Scarborough and Malton fire stations used stabilising equipment to make the building safe.

A structural engineer was also called.

Meanwhile, three vehicles were involved in a crash near Pickering yesterday.

Firefighters from three different stations - Pickering, Malton and Helmsley - were called to help deal with the accident in Wrelton at 8.49am.

They carried out traffic management and then left the incident with the police.
