Castle Howard to host motor show and classic car rally

Geoff Hill, who was involved with motor engineering most of his working life, has judged the entries for The Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally for the past five years.
Mr Hill, from Tickhill, near Doncaster, said: “It is very special in that it brings together real enthusiasts – not just people who invest in motor cars but people who really care about cars.

Hundreds of classic cars and vintage vehicles will descend on the grounds of the North Yorkshire estate for the show.
People can compete in a number of categories: American Car, Kit Car, Military/Commercial, Pre-war, Post-war, Sports Car and Motorcycle.
Mr Hill, 76, had his first classic car, a 1936 Austin Seven, when he was aged 19.
