Assault in pub's outdoor area in Valley Road, Scarborough - police appeal for witnesses

The attack happened on Valley Road in the outdoor area of The Valley Bar, between 8.50pm and 9.05pm.
The incident involved two men. One suffered fractures to his face, cuts and swelling. He was taken to Scarborough Hospital where he was treated and then discharged.

Hide AdA spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, we are appealing for information about the identity of the other man involved in the incident.
"He is described as tall with a broad build, facial stubble and crown balding.
"He has a tattoo on his right hand. He was wearing a coat that had a hood, with patches on the upper arms and dark buttons fastening it, dark fitted jeans and white trainers."
