Officers were called to McColls on Landsdowne Road shortly after 9.20pm.

They are keen to speak to a group of young people who were on the corner of Clarence Road and Lansdowne Road at around that time, as they believe they may have seen in which direction the suspect escaped.

He has been described as a man wearing a dark navy, waist-length padded-style jacket.
