Body found at cliffs near Whitby in search for missing man
A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Leyburn, North Yorkshire Police say.
Officers searching for 41-year-old Andrew Neil Clark found his body on cliffs near the lighthouse at Hawsker, Whitby on Monday afternoon.
Mr Clark was reported missing on Friday, March 6 at around 1pm after he was last seen leaving Leyburn in a silver Kia Ceed.
The car was later found on Sunday morning at Saltwick Nab, near Whitby.
CCTV footage from the Friday afternoon showed Mr Clark at a garage on Guisborough Road in Whitby.
A police spokesman said today (Tuesday): "The body of Mr Clark was found yesterday afternoon (Monday 9 March 2020) on cliffs near the lighthouse at Hawsker, Whitby."
