Bridlington man pleads guilty to manslaughter after assault in Scarborough pub

A man has pleaded guilty to killing another man in an assault in a pub in Scarborough.

The incident occurred in the Golden Last on Eastborough on September 1.

The victim, John Glenn, 59, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died weeks later.

The accused, James Arthur Collinson, 38, of Easton Road, Bridlington, appeared at Leeds Crown Court today (Tuesday November 26).

He pleaded guilty to the charges of manslaughter and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Collinson was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on January 13.
