Bridlington police team’s proactive efforts to disrupt crime in town
The Bridlington Neighbourhood Policing Team has taken more action to tackle and disrupt criminality across the community.
Recent activity in the town has seen officers execute numerous drugs warrants, carry out targeted patrols, and act on information provided by members of the public.
Over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, officers seized quantities of suspected class A drugs worth approximately £12,000 during a warrant supported by the Kinetic Intervention Team.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “This work forms part of our commitment to the Clear, Hold, Build initiative in Bridlington, which focuses on disrupting criminal activity, and working alongside partners and communities to create safer communities for the long term.”

Neighbourhood Policing Officer Andy Sawyer added: “Whilst we are highlighting this action, this is just one example of the work being carried out year-round as part of our zero-tolerance approach to criminality within our seaside town.
“I’d like to thank everyone who continues to report concerns with us. Information from the community plays a vital role in helping us build the bigger picture around offending and target our activity where it will have the greatest impact.
“We would encourage anyone with concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour in their area to continue reporting them to us. Please speak to our officers when you see them out and about, visit our website, or call our non-emergency number 101.
“Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
