Closure order issued for Scarborough address following anti-social behaviour at the property
A Closure Order that was requested by North Yorkshire Police has been granted for at an address in Scarborough.
This week, (April 13) York Magistrates Court granted a partial closure order for an address on Regent Street, following anti-social behaviour at the property.

This Closure Order focuses on the safeguarding of the resident as they are allowed to continue to live at the property but also protects the local community as the conditions prevent other people from attending the address.
The Court found that the making of the closure is necessary to prevent future serious nuisance, similar behaviour or disorder.
The Closure Order will remain in force for three months. It is a criminal offence to breach the order which could lead to up to 51 weeks in prison, a fine or both.
PC Nick Patrick from Scarborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We work in a multi-agency partnership which allows us to identify vulnerable areas within our communities.
"The behaviours by those attending this property demonstrate the requirement for us to act.”
The Court has prohibited anyone from remaining on or entering the address at anytime except for the resident and anyone deemed to have a reasonable and lawful reason to attend the premise, for example utility service providers such as Gas, Electric and Water, the Landlord, their agents and emergency services.
