Court grants full Closure Order of Scarborough address after continued 'anti-social behaviour and disorder'
An address in Scarborough which was previously the subject of a partial Closure Order has now been fully closed by York Magistrates Court.
Following an application raised by Scarborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, The Court has now ordered that the address, on Regent Street in Scarborough is to be closed for a period of three months. The previous order was designed to allow the resident to remain at the address but restricting any other person from entering the address. However, as there has been a continuation of anti-social behaviour at the address, the application was made to fully close the premises. PC Nick Patrick from Scarborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Following a continuation of anti-social behaviour and disorder at the address, we had to take the necessary action to safeguard our communities.

"Unfortunately, the previous order hasn’t been adhered to, therefore a full closure is necessary.
"I would like to thank our communities and partner agencies who have worked with us to help us gain this Closure Order.” Under the terms of the Closure Order, no-one, including the resident, is allowed to enter the property. The Closure Order is in place until Saturday, August 22.
