Delivery driver hit with car during altercation in Scarborough

An Iceland delivery driver was assaulted and hit with a car whilst making a delivery in Scarborough.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the driver was assaulted in Crossgates, Scarborough.

The delivery driver was making a delivery when a verbal altercation occurred between him and another man.

The man involved in the incident is believed to have reversed his car into the Iceland delivery driver, striking him in the leg, before driving away.

Fortunately, the driver suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

The incident happened at 11am on Blackbird Way, Friday April 15.

Officers are asking for the public's help to identify the driver who sped off.

He is described as white, aged 35 to 45 and of medium build, around 5ft 10" tall with short black hair and wearing dark blue jeans and a dark top.

He was driving a black Peugeot. Unfortunately the victim was unable to obtain the car's registration plate.
