Driver fined hundreds for speeding at 127mph on A64
A driver has been fined hundreds of pounds and banned from driving for 74 days after they were caught speeding through North Yorkshire at 127mph.
Police officers caught the speeding driver at nearly double the speed limit on the A64 near Malton in March.
At the time, the driver was in a 70mph zone.
The unnamed driver pleaded guilty in court last week and was fined a total of £676 for their dangerous actions.
News of the court result was revealed by the North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau on Twitter.
