Increased police presence in Eastfield following execution of drugs warrant
Officers from North Yorkshire Police have taken to social media to reassure residents after increasing their presence in the High Street flats area.
Last week, officers executed a drugs warrant, and whilst the investigation is ongoing, they have reassured residents that their increased presence is part of their commitment to keep the area safe.

PC Megan Smith, the new Beat Manager for Eastfield said in a post on Facebook: "We have been working with colleagues from Scarborough and Filey to develop our local intelligence and carry out the warrant."
PC Smith is now part of the Eastfield team, which proactively patrols the area and host events, to allow them to engage with the residents.
PC Smith said: "If you see me when I'm out and about, please stop me for a chat.
“I want to know what issues are affecting our residents.
“We work with a multi-agency team and are here to try to resolve problems.
“I understand that some people are unsure about speaking to police, if you have information to provide, I would urge you to speak to Crimestoppers to provide anonymous information."
You can also reach PC Smith by emailing [email protected], however, do not use this method to report incidents.
PC Smith said, "Your information is vital in helping us target criminal activity.
“We will continue to act on intelligence provided by the community, and we will continue to proactively target criminal activity.
“Thank you for your continued support.
“Together, we can make Eastfield a safer place for everyone."
