Police appeal after man in van approaches girl in Norton

The girl was walking down Welham Road, Norton at about 1.45pm when she was stopped by an unknown man in a large white van who offered her a lift on June 16.

Despite ignoring him and continuing on her walk he stopped again, complimented her and offered a lift for a second time.

The girl refused the lift and has been left feeling very uncomfortable.

Police are appealing for the public's help for any information regarding the incident, anyone with information should contact 101 and quote incident number: 12210140927.

A police spokesperson said: "We would like to make the public aware of this incident and encourage everyone to report any incidents that make them feel uncomfortable or intimidated.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify the male and advise him that this behaviour is not appropriate."
