Police appeal for witnesses following collision near Malton

North Yorkshire police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Settrington, near Malton.

A local woman, in her 30’s was struck by a car on Back Lane, Settrington between 9.30am and 9.40am on Monday January 25. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

The woman suffered multiple injuries requiring treatment at Scarborough General Hospital. She has since been discharged.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who was travelling in the area at the time, is asked to get in touch.

In particular, they are appealing for information about a Black Mercedes estate car, which might have been seen in the area at the time. The car might have damage to the front nearside.
