Police raid at Scarborough property results in Closure Order
Responding to community intelligence in Scarborough, North Yorkshire Police officers executed a drug warrant at an address on Longwestgate on Friday, March 6.
The address was recently the subject of a partial Closure Order.

A police spokesperson said: “Using the enforcer, known as the big red key, officers put the door through and searched the property.
“As the investigation was underway, members of the Community Safety Team commenced a multi-agency approach to engage with residents in the area, to reassure and speak to the community.
“Following the warrant, an application was made to York Magistrates Court for a full Closure Order which was granted on Wednesday, March 11, for a period of three months.
“The Court found that:
• a person has engaged in, or is likely to engage in disorderly and offensive and criminal behaviour on the premises
• the use of the premises has resulted in serious nuisance to members of the public
• there has been disorder near the premises, and such disorder is associated with the use of the premises.
“The Closure Order prohibits anyone from remaining on, or entering 97 Longwestgate at any time, other than anyone who is deemed to have a reasonable and lawful reason to attend, such as utility providers, (gas, electricity and water) the landlord, their agents and emergency services.
“The Closure Order is in place until 11:59pm on June 10, 2026.”
