Police seize two cars in one day in Scarborough as part of Road Safety Week

Officers stopped a Peugeot on Seamer Road yesterday while conducting patrols for Road Safety Week.
They found the driver, from Leeds, was in Scarborough working as a food delivery driver but he did not have any insurance to drive the car.

Hide AdOfficers seized the car and reported him for driving without a valid policy.
Later, they stopped a Mini after it pulled out of a junction in what officers described as “a careless manner”.
They spoke to the driver and while checking the car’s documents, found the vehicle had not been taxed since June.
They seized the car and say the driver will need to ensure they have the correct documents before it can be released.
