Scarborough Police appeal following assault on residential street

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault at the weekend in Scarborough.

A man and a woman were found arguing in the street on Sunday morning, after about 15 minutes the man drove off in a vehicle in a dangerous manner.

North Yorkshire Police are now appealing for witnesses and information after an assault on Hoxton Road at 10.50am on Sunday April 4.

The man was later located and arrested by police the same day, and has been released on bail pending further investigation.

Officers are asking for the public’s assistance to help understand the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police are appealing for information from local residents and business owners who may have CCTV footage covering the Hoxton Road area.
