December 23

Tony Flinton, 32, of Hinderwell Road: community order made, including eight-week curfew and 200 hours' unpaid work over 12 months, plus £100 compensation and £175 costs, for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour, and assaulting a police officer.

Wayne Ismay, 47, of Londesborough Park, Seamer: fined £300 plus £117 costs and banned from driving for 14 months for drink-driving, at Seamer.

David O'Neill, 38, of Billow Drive: community order made, including exclusion order and rehabilitation activity requirement, plus £64.99 compensation and £90 costs, for theft of a £16.99 oil diffuser from TK Maxx, theft of £12.95 of disposable razors from Savers, Newborough, and theft of £48 of steaks from Co-op at Newlands.

Cameron Bowman, 20, of Fyling Road, Whitby: community order made, including rehabilitation requirement and 120 hours' unpaid work over 12 months, plus £170 costs, for possessing cannabis, a class B controlled drug, resisting a police officer, wilfully obstructing a police officer, and previous offences of driving while banned and two charges of drug-driving for which a community order was previously made.

Michael George Lealman, 50, of Westfield Avenue, Norton: fined £323 plus £117 costs and banned from driving for 22 months for drink-driving, at Norton.

Aaron Burns, 25, of Bracken Hill: fined £80 plus £117 costs for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Westborough.

Benjamin Brian Dyball, 30, of Newbiggin, Malton: jailed for eight weeks and ordered to pay £122 costs, and banned from driving for 18 months, for driving while disqualified, in Hunmanby, and wilfully obstructing a police officer.

Joshua Stan Lightfoot, 19, of The Forge, Driffield: community order made, including rehabilitation activity requirement, plus £175 costs and banned from driving for 20 months, for drug-driving, in Seamer.

Samantha Storey, 25, of Millway, Ampleforth, near Malton: fined £230 plus £117 costs for possessing cocaine, a class A controlled drug.

Lyndsay Walsh, 37, of Church Street, Norton: fined £100 plus £117 costs for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, at Scarborough Hospital.

Stephen Ladds, 23, of no fixed abode: fined £100 plus £117 costs and banned from driving for six months for driving without valid insurance.

Daniel Arthur Daubney, 38, of Alma Square: given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £21 costs for criminal damage (damaging a car door handle).

Lee Brian Moore, 30, of Runswick Avenue, Whitby: fined £120 plus £117 costs for possessing cocaine, a class A controlled drug.

Daniel Stephen Thomas, 35, of Blands Cliff: fined £120 plus £117 costs and banned from driving for 16 months for drink-driving, on Herdborough Road and A165 Filey Road, and driving without valid insurance.
