Three-month closure order placed on Bridington property

A three-month closure order has been granted by the courts for a property on Kirkgate Mews in Bridlington following action by East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC).

The closure order was granted following reports of anti-social behaviour surrounding the property which impacted on other local residents.

Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team (NPT) attended with council staff to effect the council led closure order on Friday, March 20.

PC Hoggard from Bridlington NPT said: “Closure orders such as this one are an important tool in protecting the local community.

“We continue to use every tool at our disposal as part of our Clear, Hold, Build initiative, together with our partners, to target offenders, support residents and rebuild communities.”
